How to Merge PDF Files Into One

Sending five separate PDFs is messy. The recipient has to open each one, the order gets lost, and some upload forms accept only a single file anyway. What happens when you merge PDFs

Merging simply takes the pages from each file and places them one after another in a new PDF. Nothing is re-rendered or recompressed, so text stays selectable, images keep their original quality and the result looks exactly like the source files. The new file is roughly as large as all the originals added together, which is worth keeping in mind if there is a size limit.
