Q. How do I write a page range?

Separate pages and ranges with commas, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10. Pages are added in the order you type them, and a page listed twice is only included once.

Q. Can I reverse page order with a range like 5-1?

No. A range must go from a lower to a higher page number. To change the order, list the pages individually, for example 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Q. Does it work with password-protected PDFs?

No. Encrypted files cannot be opened without their password. Remove the protection first, then split the file here.
