How to Convert a PDF to JPG Images
Save every page, or just the ones you need, as JPG or PNG images for slides, chats and social posts.

A PDF is great for documents, but not everywhere accepts one. You may want to drop a page into a slide deck, post a flyer on social media, send a single page in a chat where it shows as a preview, or upload a certificate to a form that only takes images. Converting the PDF pages to JPG solves all of these.
What happens when you convert a PDF to JPG
Each page is drawn as a picture, just as it looks on screen, and saved as a separate image. The result looks the same, but it is a flat image: text can no longer be selected, searched or edited, and links stop working. That is fine for sharing and viewing, but keep the original PDF for anything you may need to edit or print later.
How to convert a PDF to JPG with QodeCat
The PDF to Image tool renders the pages in your browser. The PDF is not uploaded, so it is safe for invoices, contracts and certificates.
- Open PDF to Image. Before adding the file, choose the Output Format and the Resolution / Quality. These are fixed once a PDF is loaded.
- Click the drop area or drag your PDF onto it. All pages are rendered and appear as thumbnails, each one selected.
- Click a thumbnail to deselect pages you do not need, or use Select All / Deselect All. The counter shows how many pages are selected.
- To save a single page, hover over it and click the download icon. To get several pages, click Download All Pages (.zip), which changes to show the number of selected pages when you have not picked all of them.
- Want other settings? Click Convert New File, change the format or resolution and add the PDF again.
The images are named after the PDF with the page number added, for example report_page-3.jpg, so they stay in order in any folder.
JPG or PNG, and which resolution?
- JPG makes smaller files and is the right choice for most pages, especially ones with photos.
- PNG keeps text and lines perfectly crisp, which suits diagrams, tables and pages with small print, but the files are larger.
- Standard (72 DPI) is enough for a quick preview or a chat message.
- High (108 DPI) is the default and works well for slides, websites and social posts.
- Print (144 DPI) gives the most detail, useful when people will zoom in. An A4 page comes out at about 1190 × 1684 pixels.
Tips
- Only need a few pages? Deselect the rest before downloading the ZIP, or save single pages with the download icon.
- Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened. Remove the protection in your PDF reader first.
- If the images are too heavy for an upload, shrink them with Image Compressor.
- Going the other way? Image to PDF turns images back into a single PDF.

Other ways to save a PDF page as an image
- Mac: open the PDF in Preview, choose File > Export and pick JPEG or PNG. This exports the current page.
- Any device: zoom to the page and take a screenshot. It is quick, but the resolution depends on your screen.
- Adobe Acrobat: can export PDFs as images, but the feature needs a paid plan.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert just one page?
Yes. Hover over the page and click its download icon, or deselect all other pages and download the ZIP.
Why is the text in my image blurry?
The resolution was probably too low for the amount of detail. Start over with Print (144 DPI) and PNG, which keeps small text sharp.
Is there a page limit?
There is no fixed limit, but every page is rendered on your device. Long documents at Print resolution take longer and use more memory, especially on phones.
