Compress Images Without Uploading Them

Large photos slow down websites, fill up email attachments and eat storage. QodeCat Image Compressor shrinks JPG, PNG and WebP files right in your browser. Drop up to 30 images, choose a quality level and download the smaller files one by one or together as a zip.

  • Bulk queue: compress up to 30 images in one go, with drag & drop or paste.
  • Quality slider: trade a little visual detail for a much smaller file.
  • Format conversion: keep the original format or convert to JPEG or WebP.
  • Max width: scale down oversized photos while keeping their aspect ratio.

How it works

Private by design

Every image is decoded and re-encoded locally using your browser's canvas. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe for client work, screenshots and personal photos.

Never bigger than before

Some images are already well optimized. If re-encoding would make a file larger, the tool keeps your original and marks it as already optimized, so you never download a worse result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Why does the quality slider not change my PNG files?

PNG is a lossless format, so browsers ignore the quality setting when saving PNG. Choose WebP as the output format to get real savings; WebP supports transparency too.

Q. What quality should I use?

For photos, 70-85% is usually indistinguishable from the original while cutting the file size by half or more. Go lower for thumbnails, higher for print.

Q. Is there a file size limit?

There is no fixed limit because everything runs on your device. Very large images (over 50 megapixels) may be slow on phones.
